How I got here
I've always been fascinated by why some people thrive under pressure while others struggle, even when they're equally capable.
Sport was where I first experienced it for myself. I learned to perform under scrutiny while managing internal chaos, often appearing capable even when I was struggling inside. That contrast between how I felt and how I appeared stayed with me.
In my twenties, I moved into high-pressure work in mental health, child protection and complex trauma. I coped the only way I knew how; by pushing through.
After burning out time and time again, I started looking for another way. I wanted to understand why some people could carry pressure and responsibility without living in survival mode. That search led me to coaching and a deeper understanding of why we think, feel and respond the way we do under pressure.

The first time I watched someone being coached, it blew my mind. Their situation hadn't changed, but the way they related to it had.
I have huge respect for therapy, and many people benefit from both therapy and coaching at different times. What drew me to coaching was its ability to help people step back, think more clearly and navigate the challenges they're facing now.

Most people don't need more advice or information. The challenge is rarely knowing what to do. Pressure doesn't remove your capability. It interferes with your ability to access it.
Coaching creates the conditions to access that capability. It happens outside your organisation, where there's no agenda beyond helping you move forward. Away from performance reviews, workplace politics and the pressure to present a certain way, you can explore what's really going on without needing to have the answers.
-
I'm committed to transformational coaching. My goal isn't to help you manage one situation; it's to change the lens you're looking through, so the same patterns don't keep repeating. It's not about short-term relief or surface-level fixes, but a shift in how you see and respond to situations over time.
